I don't oppose the lobbying efforts of the California Narcotics Officers
Association to obtain better pay, working conditions and respect for
narcs. It's the American way.

I do find it distasteful that the lobbying organization, under the guise of
acting as professional law enforcers, actively opposes a law that would
drastically reduce their job security. Furthermore they lobby without
appropriate credentials, claiming expertise on the medical effects of
marijuana.

Also, we're still all waiting for the citations for Dan Lungren's "10,000
studies available documenting the harmful physical and psychological
effects of smoking (marijuana)." If he was just blowing smoke toward
Assemblyman John Vasconcellos, he should just admit it and get on with the
debate.
