Prosecutors said Koji Ishizaki, 31, a resident of the prefectural capital of Akita, was found in midMay in possession of some 60 grams of marijuana which he had grown himself and dried out for use. Ishizaki allegedly admitted to police having smoked some of his homegrown marijuana. Prosecutors said Ishizaki told them he obtained cannabis seeds, equipment needed to grow them and a howto manual through an Internet mailorder service about two years ago. Police came across the marijuana plants when they searched Ishizaki's house after he came under suspicion of performing indecent acts on a 15yearold girl he met through a telephonedating prostitution ring.
