FOLLOW UP DRUG REHAB

The article "Drug rehab more effective, less costly than jail" (March 18)
is very constructive.

As the rate of relapse is high, strong support should be developed to
maintain the positive results of medical treatment. This consists of
setting up "youth palaces" nationwide where young people can be entertained
with specially designed games, sports, TV and video, etc., during their
leisure hours. Disciplines can be taught and practised to achieve
self-esteem.
