GROUP UNVEILS LOCAL ANTI-DRUG STRATEGY

PASADENA, July 9 (UPI) _ A local drug prevention agency will hold a news
conference today to announce a new campaign intended to reduce youth
marijuana use in the greater Pasadena area. The agency is called Day One,
and it says it will unveil an anti-drug strategy for parents, teachers,
communities, churches and businesses to change attitudes and social
perceptions of marijuana use. Day One says it developed the plan to combat
rising statistics that indicate pot use has more than tripled among youth
since 1992.
