POLICE BRIEFS

* New Denver RCMP uncovered a hydroponic marijuana grow operation near
Lemon Creek, south of Slocan.

On Sunday police said a search of the residence revealed the operation in
the bedroom of the residence. Officers seized 36 marijuana plants and 150
grams of high quality dried pot. The estimated street value of the
marijuana is in excess of $35,000.

The two Lemon Creek residents will NOT be charged and the marijuana will be
destroyed by the police.
