Speaking before an international conference on cannabis law in London, Professor David McDonald of the Australian National University said Australians were relatively big users of the drug compared with other countries. Professor McDonald added that there was a growing body, of opinion among Australians, as seen in recent opinion polls, that total prohibition of cannabis may not be the best approach to regulating the drug. - --- Checked-by: Patrick Henry
