EX-MODEL MUST WAIT TO DEFEND COCAINE CHARGE

Former model Samantha Blandford Hutton, left [photo], seen arriving at
Dublin District Court on Friday, will have to wait a little longer to
see the end of her trial on a charge of possessing cocaine for supply.

It follows the suspension of her case over what her lawyer said was a
contempt of court and breach of the sub judice rules by Ireland on
Sunday. The case has already been heard over two days in which it was
alleged she was found in a Dublin hotel room with more cocaine than
could be just for personal use a charge she denies.

Ireland on Sunday last week published a story alleging that she was
involved in Dublin's crime and vice underworld. Her lawyer said the
allegations were ``scurrilous'' and a clear contempt of court. As a
result, she is to go to the High Court shortly to have the newspaper
and the author of the article, John Mooney, cited for contempt. The
district court hearing of the drugs charge has been adjourned to
October 15.
