I AM getting really sick of your editorial comments shooting down anyone with the guts to speak out against the hypocrisy of marijuana prohibition. David d'Appollonia (Letters, June 4) points out there are more dangerous legal substances out there, including alcohol, and you call it "loopy logic?" With billions worth of pot sold in this country annually, is it all consumed by dim-witted folk? Or could there be some doctors who use it? Lawyers? Business executives? Newspaper reporters? All those smug alcohol users out there know someone who has died from drinking, but can they name one person who died from smoking pot?
