VEGAS STRIPPER ARRESTED OVER HEROIN KILLING OF CASINO BOSS

A FORMER stripper and her lover have been arrested for the murder of a
Las Vegas casino owner who died after being forced to swallow a
massive overdose of heroin.

Police say that Sandy Murphy, 27, conspired with Rick Tabish to murder
her former boyfriend, the Horseshoe Casino boss Ted Binion, and steal
a fortune in silver that he had buried. Both are accused of forcing
the heroin down Binion's throat.

Two days after Binion's body was found at his ranch house, Tabish, 34,
and two others were caught digging up pounds 3 million worth of silver
from a vault in the Nevada desert near Pahrump, about 60 miles away.
Binion was fighting a long-time heroin addiction and helping to run
the family casino when he met Murphy in 1995.

She moved in with him but they fought repeatedly. Murphy had their
telephones tapped to keep track of him, an affidavit says, and Binion
installed surveillance cameras to watch her.
