APPROPRIATE QUESTIONS

George W. Bush says questions about his past drug use are
inapproprate.

I ask: How appropriate was it for him, in 1997 as the governor of
Texas, to sign into law legislation that increased jail sentences for
people convicted of cocaine possession?

Is it fair to suppose that some of those Texans currently doing time
for doing drugs made - as Bush has admitted making - youthful
"mistakes" and deserve the second chance of treatment instead of prison?
