OLIVER, STONED

To the editor:
The Herald's Sept. 1 People Column reports that filmmaker Oliver Stone
received three years' probation and an order to attend drug rehab for
possessing a small amount of hashish and other drugs.

It makes you wonder how the thousands of unfortunate nobodies in Texas
and other prisons would feel if they had access to news of such
glaring inequality and no chance of rehabilitation.
