It seems there is an assumption of guilt on the part of York Regional Police regarding the accused officer.

The officers' quotes suggest the force wants to distance itself from Const. Nadine Morcos. I find it troubling that, if there was enough evidence to charge the husband, as well as the officer, why does she deserve to be paid during her suspension?

If a civil servant is paid to serve the public, but is prohibited from service due to suspension, why would she be paid for not serving the public?
