Regarding the Verge story "Drug test for athletes fair or foul?," because drug use is such a big issue in communities across the nation, I think high schools should give a mandatory drug test to players on sports teams.

If schools were forced to give such tests, drug use would decrease a great deal. I also think school officials would be surprised to see that many of their players use drugs.

I don't feel sorry for the Olympic gold medalists who had their medals taken away. It's a shame that they went through all the training and hard work to get to that point, but they knew what could happen if they used drugs.
