My letter is in regards to your article about medicinal marijuana growing in the Spallumcheen area. I have lived most of my life as a resident of Armstrong/Spallumcheen and I personally find this bylaw ridiculous. I really don't see a problem with growing medicinal marijuana on agricultural land in proximity to a few residential areas. The key word here is medicinal. These places are for growing medicine. Bylaws like this only enforce attitudes that these operations are somehow borderline criminal, which is the only reason it would bring down property values in the first place. I personally am sick of hearing about any legislation that restricts this most beneficial of medicines. Sonia Domarchuk-White Spallumcheen [end]
