While I agree that we have to be careful implementing a legal framework to make marijuana legal, she has misrepresented facts, or made statements that just aren't true. I haven't seen many deny the fact that marijuana does affect the brain development of youth. This is true of many things, including nicotine and alcohol, which she seems to have no problem with. Dispensaries Must Be 500-Feet From a School, Church It's not everyday the Maricopa City Council is applauded for completing an otherwise-routine task. But it was obvious that, to many including members of the council itself this was anything but a routine item up for vote. After months of discussion, the council approved a policy requiring a medical marijuana dispensary to be set back at least 500 feet from schools, daycare facilities, parks, libraries and churches.
