The ongoing debate in our Legislature over the usage of marijuana would be amusing if it were not so ironic! I cannot believe that all those arguing the issue -- pro and con -- are "unacquainted" with the reality that marijuana, its production and consumption, are a fact of life in Montana as well as the rest of the continental U.S.A. Instructions for producing cannabis are available to all via the Internet. Even those who would protest the availability of all drugs, Class 2 and beyond, concede that "pot" is with us now and probably will be for all time. (I would imagine every middle-class child in Helena could enlighten the Legislature as to the availability of the drug in their own personal world.) I believe that most of "thinking" Montana accepts the reality of marijuana as a fact of life and laments the Legislature wasting valuable time that could be better spent in discussing issues relevant to our peoples' real needs.
