A parent of another teenager handed me a book that she picked up at the town hall meeting on marijuana use. The book was being distributed freely to children and adults by an organization called Mothers Against Misuse and Abuse. After looking at the book, I was appalled. The book calls everything I have learned about marijuana a myth.

I'm not sure what the Mothers Against Misuse and Abuse agenda is, but they are obviously not interested in protecting children from drug abuse. The book is entitled "Marijuana Myths, Marijuana Facts." Everything that I've been trying to teach my teenager about the harms of its use was gone in an instant as my son waved the book in my face and said " Look, mom, it was written by a M.D. and a Ph.D." In other words, " It's fact ! "
