Malta is a signatory to the Schengen agreement, which it signed on joining the EU. For anyone who is not familiar with this agreement, it allows for the free movement of EU nationals.

It also allows for EU nationals to transport their medicines across borders. Schengen allows medical users of either Sativex (which is cannabis oil in a spray bottle) or Bedrocan to travel to another country that signed the Schengen agreement for up to 90 days. Any person harassed or detained would be looking forward to hefty compensation from that country.

Outta' my mind on a Monday moanin':

It is never good to bash your head; however, if you are going to bash your head, better to have a helmet on it. Football, hockey, lacrosse and baseball players know it. Race car drivers and bicyclists know it. Motorcyclists know it.

I don't need to go into all the arguments for and against a law making cyclists do what's best for them and for the rest of us. (We went through this already regarding seat belts in cars.)

Why All The Fuss?

PAUL SMITH, the cricketer banned for drug-taking, says sportsmen are unfairly forced to play by a different set of rules in their private lives

Lawrence Dallaglio should be allowed to get on with his life instead of picking up the News Of The World this morning with a sense of dread. Things need saying about how certain newspapers are allowed to ruin the lives of people in the public eye.

Sportsmen are regarded as easy targets, for obvious reasons. They make headlines on the back page and, like most of the population probably, they might have done things in the past that they regret.
