4,200 POT PLANTS FOUND IN SCARBOROUGH WAREHOUSE

Police Raid Also Turns Up 60 Pounds Of Processed Marijuana

The discovery of marijuana grow-labs appears to be becoming more
frequent across the city with the busts of two grow-ops in two days --
both operations valued at more than $5 million.

On Tuesday, police seized 4,200 marijuana plants along with 60 pounds
of processed and packaged marijuana worth $4.7 million, Toronto police
said.

The discovery was made when police executed a search warrant at 50
Skagway Court, in the area of Brimley and Danforth Rds. Police found
the marijuana inside a 10,000-square-foot self-contained industrial
building.

No people were found in the building, which police described as a
'heavily fortified marijuana farm'.

No arrests have been made in the case, but police are appealing for
anyone who knows something about this grow-op to call them at
416-808-4206.

Yesterday, members of 12 Division found a three-stage grow operation
in a North York apartment at 10 Martha Eaton Way in the area of Black
Creek and Trethewey Drives.

A search warrant was executed and 596 marijuana plants in various
stages of growth were discovered. The plants had a street value of
$596,000, police said.

One woman was charged and another woman is being sought.

Lien Nguyen, 56, of Toronto was charged with various drug offences.
Thi Thuy Pham, 44, of Toronto, is wanted for various drug offences,
said police.
