MARIJUANA PARTY GETS CAMPAIGN ROLLING WITH SEED MONEY

MONTREAL - The federal Marijuana Party began its election campaign on
Tuesday with a campaign slogan of "Let's roll."

Party leader Marc-Boris St-Maurice plans to run against Liberal Leader Paul
Martin in the Montreal riding of LaSalle-Emard.

St-Maurice said he hopes to have candidates in 100 ridings in Canada.

About 40 Marijuana Party candidates are running in Quebec. Another 25 are
expected to run in Ontario, with seven other candidates campaigning in
Manitoba.

St-Maurice says the only issue for his party is the legalization of marijuana.

The party is raising money for its election campaign by selling marijuana seeds.
