Re. Darts & Bouquets in Nov. 5 Advocate: Rick Zemanek says that we in Canada should follow the example of Denver, Colo. because they have legalized possession of marijuana. Wow. What an example. What will be next? Meth? We have already losta battles when it comes to tobacco or alcohol. How many millions of dollars are spent due to the crimes committed by alcohol-fuelled criminals and how many dollars are spent on tobacco-related physical problems? So, why add more substances to the list? If legalizing is equal to less crimes and less court times, then why not legalize theft, burglary, rape? Our courts would havea less burden and judges can go on longer holidays. We can cut the police force in half and save money. Pat Ellis Red Deer - --- MAP posted-by: Larry Seguin
