POLICE SWEEP OF CARTER HIGH SCHOOL YIELDS NO EVIDENCE OF ILLEGAL DRUGS

LEAMINGTON - Leamington police came up empty-handed after their third drug
sweep this year at Cardinal Carter Secondary School.

Leamington officers, assisted by the OPP and its canine unit searched the
school Friday, but found no illegal drugs.

Leamington police Const. Kevin O'Neil praised Cardinal Carter's
administration for inviting officers to conduct the sweep.

"The administration and staff at Cardinal Carter are to be commended for the
tough stance that they have taken to make sure their school is totally free
from all drugs and illegal substances," he said.
