When police arrived at the 5400-block of Claude Avenue, they found the shooting was related to an attempted robbery of a marijuana-growing operation. One man was found in the area with gunshot wounds, which were not life-threatening , Burnaby RCMP said in a release. He was taken to Royal Columbian Hospital in New Westminster. Another man at the location of the growing operation was arrested. Some time later, another man believed injured in the same incident turned up at the hospital to be treated for a gunshot wound, also not life-threatening.
