CommentsDecriminalize Marijuana? In Boston, Massachusetts, the Mental Health and Substance Abuse Committee recently approved a bill that would decriminalize the possession of less than an ounce of marijuana. If approved by the state legislature, possession of this amount of marijuana would become a civil offense punishable by a fine. A few states have already approved similar legislation, but what are your thoughts on this? Should marijuana be decriminalized? Does it make sense to put those carrying such a small amount in jail? Or, do you think the possibility of serving jail time is a deterrent for drug users? Is a fine a more suitable punishment? Or, would decriminalizing marijuana encourage more people to use it? And, would you support such a bill for your state? Tune in and tell us what you think by calling 1-877-CN8-LIVE.
