LAB 3 Process Body 2 Submitted Articles
In this lab you will receive two sample articles. You will process the headers and bodies of these articles and send them back for verification.

Request the Sample Articles:
Select lab 3a and 3b from our Get Lab Sample page.

Process the articles:
Step 1: Open the article with your email software.
Step 2: Move the article to the outgoing queue and modify message header.
Select Send Again from the Message menu (Alt + M, S)
Address it to howto@mapinc.org
Type HOW2: Lab3a in the message subject field.
Step 3: Edit the article header.
Refer to lesson 2, if necessary
Step 4: Insert a blank line between each paragraph, if necessary.
Place cursor at end of last line of each paragraph and press the Enter key.
Step 5: Format body of the article.
Place the cursor at the beginning of the first line after the headline.
While holding the Shift and Ctrl keys down, press the End key. The entire article will be highlighted.
Select Unwrap Text from the Message Plug-ins menu which is located under the Edit menu.
Step 6: Adjust Headlines(Titles)
Title in Subject line of Message Header - The title in the subject line of the outgoing message should have the first letter of each word capitalized. While you can certainly just type the headline, it is much more efficient to copy/paste the existing title from the top of the article to a blank line, place it in word case and then copy/paste it to the subject line of the outgoing message. Here's how:
Place cursor on the left edge of the headline at the top of the article, hold the shift key down and press the End key. The headline should now be highlighted.
Select Copy from the Edit Menu (or Ctrl + c)
Move the cursor to a blank line, paste the headline by selecting paste from the Edit Menu (or Ctrl + v)
Highlight the pasted headline by placing the cursor on the left edge of it, hold the shift key down and press the End key.
Select Word Case from the Message Plug-ins menu which is located under the Edit menu
Cut the new headline by holding down the Ctrl key and pressing the letter x. The text will wait in your computer's memory (buffer) until you copy something else or turn the computer off. Let's adjust the article title before we return to this.
Title Above the Article
The title above the article should appear in all caps
Highlight by placing the cursor on the left edge of the headline, hold the shift key down and press the End key.
Select UPPER CASE from the Message Plug-ins menu which is located under the Edit menu.
Sub-title
A sub-title above the article should have the first letter of each word capitalized.
Highlight by placing the cursor on the left edge of the headline, hold the shift key down and press the End key.
Select Word Case from the Message Plug-ins menu which is located under the Edit menu.
Now the Subject line Title:
Place the cursor at the Subject line of the outgoing message and copy the modified headline by selecting paste from the Edit menu (or Ctrl + v)
Step 6: Send it back.
Click on the queue button to send the article to your email queue
Select Send Mail(or Ctrl + t).
Repeat these steps for the second article.
