LESSON 1 MAP People
- b. MAP People
- Although many MAP processes are automated it is people who make MAP an incredible
information resource.
- Endusers
- Endusers are the MAP "customers". They vary from the everyday 'net surfer to the very government
officials who wish to keep prohibition alive and booming. We receive many messages of thanks from
citizens who use our end product for research and just to keep up with the news.
- NewsHawks
- Mere words can not describe the appreciation we have for our NewsHawks since they are the true
workhorse of our organization.
Newshawks search newspapers for articles related to licit and illicit drugs and
drug policy. These articles are formatted according to the
NewsHawk guidelines and submitted
by email to MAP.
- MAPEditors
- The MAPEditors are the final human contact with the submitted articles. Their goal is to
to produce a high-quality, relevant, focused, truthful and consistently-formatted
information stream of articles on drug policy and drug policy reform.
- MAPStaffers and Contact information
- MAPStaffers provide consistency and stability for MAP. They keep in close and
constant contact via a special mailing list.
