All articles listed where Article type = K
T: type of item, that is the type of items as listed in the dispatch page in the staff room
  • K = known source (at least roboeditor thinks it is known).
  • W = a suspected wire service item (which we generally do not post if we find that the same item has actually been printed in a newspaper that we can post.
  • X = Unknown source items - ones for which roboeditor could not identify the source. These may be - or may not be - valid new sources that need to be added to our source database. Or they may be SPAM.
  • Q = Items for the Q editors. These are items from email addresses that require special attention and that the Q editors who are familiar with the items from that email address know how to handle. There are a variety of reasons that an email address is placed on the Q editor list, much more than I wish to discuss in this message.
  • D = Duplicate, an item that roboeditor suspects is a duplicate based on a match of the first fifty characters and spaces following the last colon ( : ) You will not see the D letter for duplicates without changing other display parameters on the webpage when you go to the URL - because suspected duplicates ARE NOT held on the page to be pulled, but are immediately sent (pushed) to the editor who received the original so that that editor can decide if the item is a duplicate.
